One of the better presentations of basketball for the Wii

User Rating: 7 | NBA 2K10 WII
I have NBA Live 08 for the Wii and have played it for several months. When I compare that to this, it's not even a fight.

There is no reason of getting an NBA LIve 08 when there is this game for the Wii. Sure, the graphics kinda suck, but still, like some other reviewers, decent for this platform.

The gameplay is pretty good. There is a lot of action and the game is usually fast-paced. The player attributes/go-to moves are pretty accurate to their real life counterparts. So you will see two very different finishes between Chauncey Billups and Dwight Howard.

But I think some bad things about the gameplay is the unbalanced player and AI. For instance, in "pro" difficulty, and all game sliders the same, I can clearly see that the AI is much better. One of my players even missed a wide open layup, while the opponent made a tough contested long three-pointer. I think this should be fixed in later versions. Sure, you can change the game slider, but it is very hard to figure out what levels make it perfectly balanced.

One thing that makes this a good Wii game is that all the features from the other versions ACTUALLY exist in here... There's My Player (which is pretty neat but in some cases tedious), practice mode, playoffs, multiplayer (online or offline), regular season, etc. The living rosters are a pretty neat feature... Although they were introduced a couple years back. Some other basketball games for the Wii cut out a lot of the features that are available for others such as the XBOX 360.

So far (2010), this will be the best basketball game to buy if you only have a Wii. But if you have some other game console, this version isn't even worth it.
