It's pretty obvious what I'm talking about when I say "something new", but just in case, I'm talking about The Life Vol. 1. This is a great feature, but unfortunately, it could use some improvement. What I looked forward to the most from this feature was the customization, it's too bad that this needs the most improvement. First off, I thought that there wasn't nearly enough choices between what they gave you. For hair you get three choices, bald, almost bald, and actual hair, unfortunately, that's where it ends with customization, but hey, one thing's for sure, the voice-acting is surprisingly great. I know it sounds strange, but this game has some of the best voice-acting that I've ever heard, the realism and awesome script add to it perfectly. The gameplay? Well basically the standard basketball game, nothing more, nothing less. The graphics could've been better, but on the PS2? not much. As for the story, well it's simple, you play as a kid just out of junior college, which dubs you as "The JuCo Kid", trying to make it in the big time, the NBA. What team you ask? That's the beauty of it, it's whichever team is set as your favorite team! You hit some bumps along the way, you know, you get really famous, get a big ego, ya da ya da ya da. The point is, this is a very solid, good game, but it's not for everyone, so I suggest you rent it first, then decide, but for me, well, let's just say that I'm playing it right now.
