This game,is probaly one of the best FPS shooters out there.
The gameplay is awesome,the guns feel awesome..
I love the way the aliens are marines are very well balanced,even tho they work completely diffrent.
It's also very immersive. Theres no game like this,crawling thruoght the vents as a marine,trying to get to the room where the power terminal is broken...When suddenly you hear fast alien footsteps..Your almost out of the vents! You rush and look around,but you can't see it,so you drop mines behind as you go...When suddenly the alien pops up in front of you and you hit it with your back side of the gun(whatever it's called...and to your suprise it falls dead..Must of been dead..Time to carry one..And then suddenly 3 more aliens attack you and get eaten..Tell me where can i find such experience.Theres also nothing as being on top of the walls as a skulk and waiting for that poor,unlucky marine to get into that room.Then you jump on him and eat him..
And not only the amazing FPS asimetrical balance thing going on,you have a VERY in depth commander rts mode thing going on..This game is like 2 games in one.I'd be fun even if it was only RTS or FPS,but know they are tied together that makes a very immersive shooter.
But this game is not without flaws. It is not far from the ''ultimate fps'' but it certainly has a way to go.
First there is no proper tutorial for the game,while it may be fine if you only play FPS,but say if your a total rookie on commander everyone will vote you off because you are doing horribly... But how can you learn to play properly if people don't let you? This happened to me on a ''rookie friendly server''
rookie friendly server my ass,but wait the community is not DOTA 2 or LOL,most of the time the guys are friendly and won't rage at you sometimes they will even help you.
Unlike in DOTA where you have a bunch of guys just talking trash about you.Overall this game is great,oh and you know a good thing about it
NO DLC,that is very rare for todays online fps,due to rampart capitalism...But this is not a political debate..Also i encountered some 1-3 second lockups once in a while for no reason,which isin't gamebreaking but it can be annoying,they seem to happen only in the first 2 minutes of the game ,so i don't usually get killed.Dunno maybe i need a new computer..Oh and long loading screens for me,like i said i need a new computer. But lets get to the pros and cons NOW
