Eutechnyx's first NASCAR game is a good start, as well as a good springboard to bounce ideas off of for future games.

I kind of have mixed reactions to how I feel about this game since they came out with the patch. Personally, I think the game is much better without the patch because with it, it seems like the cars are going at least 15 MPH slower than you, and it is way too easy to pass and pull away from them.

The gameplay is probably the most realistic yet of any NASCAR game; if your car gets damage from hitting the wall, the handling starts to fade, and your car gets tighter as the race goes on.

Like most NASCAR games, the modes for gameplay are Single Race, Career and Multiplayer (you can race online with your PlayStation Network profile).

There are a few flaws that I would like to mention (mostly with the online play), like the caution flags. It seems that it always has to take an extreme wreck, or someone going the wrong way to bring out a caution. Cautions are never thrown if someone is stopped anywhere on the track; it is always put off until another car wrecks into the stopped car.

Another flaw is the online lag. This game, just like every other game you can play online has lagging, but it seems this game has it more than every other game I've played online. For instance, if you are racing beside another player online and you happen to drive up towards them they spin out even if you don't even touch them. Also, when you start a race sometimes the lag starts you off with your car flipping.

My overall opinion of this game is that it is good, but there is a lot of room for improvement.
