Fast paced great graphics. Controls are touchy. Rent it before you buy it! Not as good as the Tv Ads made it to be!

User Rating: 6.5 | NASCAR 2011: The Game X360
I was so excited to see how the game play was. I played the game for about 11 hours today. The graphics are right on. The details that was taken for each track is awesome. The driver's car and cockpit are also just like the real thing. I played the game both with the controller and with the Xbox steering wheel. The hand controller was ok toke a few laps to get the hang of the joystick as for the pad it's just to touchy to work with on short tracks. Now the steering wheel was awesome the only problem I could find is after coming out of caution or leaving the pits it would jump all over the place when it was time for you to take control of the car. The spotters are delayed. When they say you're clear you need to wait about 10 seconds because they will still be on your side. I really wish the game would have let you take control on cautions and in the pits. That's the other down side for me to many cut screens back and forth from cautions. When you enter the pits to make any car changes the game does not allow enough time for you to scroll through the menu to make your changes. The placement of the rear view mirror is off to the right instead of in the view of the screen so you have to turn your head to see what's going on behind you or press (Y) to look back and that's when the wheel will also do the jumping around when you go to look straight ahead Activison is on the right track with this game and hopefully they will make improvements and put more control in the players hands. I am sure Activison will make improvements to the Game they are a company that cares what the users think.
First we Nascar Fans want a game that is as close to driving the real thing. A real simulation not an arcade type game. We want total control of everything from putting tape on the grill to driving caution laps. The gauges in the car look great but all don't work as in past Nascar Games. If companies are going to step into Nascar they need to look at the past games and see what failed and what was great in order to get it right. Like I said above to many cut scenes in and out of the race from pits to cautious and so on. A patch is not going to fix these problems a new design is the only way and hopefully they listen to what the fans want in the game.If you are lucky while playing Multi player the racing is ok but until the patches come out the game will freeze at the beginning and have ghost cars.

Below is a list of issues we are working on for the next Patch. This isn't a list of all the outstanding problems but we'd like to get this Patch out ASAP and these are the key issues that are stopping the majority of players from enjoying the game. As each item is fixed, the status will be updated. Thanks again for your patience and understanding.

Note: Updated items are highlighted in white.
