Excellent Game. Well worth the money.

NASCAR 2006 is one of the best racers I've played in a long time. Since it is NASCAR, don't be expecting extensive car customization and outrageous tracks, but do expect a very well done simulation of NASCAR. The game has several modes of play, ranging from Dodge Challenges - where you are put in different scenarios and you have a only a few laps to take the checkered flag. There's also a career mode, where you're able to sign on contracts and eventually buy your own team. This is the meat of the game. As there is a lot of racing, buying, signing, and car upgrading to be done. Also, there's the modes that let you jump right into a race. But you'll notice a lot of the tracks and car paint schemes are locked. You unlock these buy purchasing them via Skill Points you earn by doing well in races, or by completeing Challenges. There's also an online mode which I haven't tried out yet. The game is delievered very well, the graphics are crisp and the visuals are fast. The sound is very nice too. The game can be very challenging on higher difficulties, and the position battles can get very intense. For all you NASCAR fans out there, this is a definate buy. Perhaps even for fans of racing in general. A very well done game.
