Fast paced fighting,very unique fighting styles,great colroful presentation.
This game has a battle mode and mission mode for it's gameplay.
The battle mode allows you to select a team of 3 characters and you can select a team of 3 opponents.The first character you select for your team is the main character who does most of the fighting,and you can order your 1 of your 2 team mates to perform single attacks or to catch you while you're falling to prevent you being hit by a big enemy attack.
As for the fighting styles,I like how Naruto can create images of himself and attack opponents using himself and his images.Shino is very defensive and likes to keep a distance between you and him and he uses projectile attacks to try to wear your health down.Sakura can leave traps laying on the battle field.Some characters use melee weapons or use their big size to their advantage.
There's a dash button that lets you travel very quickly through the air at your opponent so you can try to overwhelm them with speed and unleash combo attacks on them.There's a button to do melee attacks and combos can be executed by just pressing the melee attack button.There's also jutsu attacks which deal enormous amounts of damage to your opponent and look spectacular and colorful on the screen.There's a button that allows you to throw projectiles,there's a block button and there's a button that charges up your chakral,which is energy you'll need to do the jutsu and it makes your normal attacks more powerful,but when you're charging up your chakra it leaves you vulnerable.You can easily control the characters around the battle areans with the left analog,and because this is a 3D fighting game,the character will move all over the place and in a very fast way too.
The graphics have a colorful sel shaded look to them and the battle arenas can be in diferent forest environments(one of them has a nice yellow sky),and there's open grassy area with trees and hills,in a courtyard(surrounded by trees and views of mountains)and there's indoor environments too.The cel shaded,colorful graphics work well with the spectacular jutsu events to make them entertaining to witness.
The mission mode involves travelling around the village and doing missions for people and you'll be rewarded with extra characters for battle mode.I was a bit bored doing the village missions.The village feels a bit lifeless becaue there isn't much people and if you want to explore/travel across rooftops you'll need to perform some weird action which is very awkward and it's not easy to explore the village like it is in some other Naruto games.
The buildings in the village look nice though.
You'll hear the characters shout out things during battles,loud explosions and music that suits the fast,frantic battles.
The game has 25 selectable characters but only 12 of them are available at the start.For people who want online play,this game has none.
Overall,I think this game is very fun,it's fast and frantic style of fighting with the Naruto influence makes the game fun.
