Slow and very boring. Sadly while hoping to be an improvement from the last Naruto PSP game, it wasn't.

After playing massive amounts of Naruto: Shippuden Accel for the PS2. I was hoping to get an action packed and very good Naruto fighting game for the PSP. However, Naruto Ultimate Ninja 2 failed in every aspect I hope it could've achieved.

The storyline to begin with, is utterly boring and long. The "dungeon crawling" contains hardly any action and merely has Naruto either gambling, breaking rocks, fighting "evil ghosts of his friends" and doing useless mini games all along 100 floors. With the occasional drama or unfolding event to progress the story's already boring plot.

That isn't to say that it sucks, it's decent, but it could've made without the pointless mini games and tedious tower to climb. Not to mention you gain Ninja points depending on how well you do which are used to venture off into Ninja Road and to purchase Naruto items to view later. Once again, I'm not motivated to even bother collecting all the points and items.

While the storyline sucked, I truly loved the graphics, they were very well done for the PSP with lush details on all the maps. As well the battles were very good, and made it exciting and intense to play while keeping the original controls from all other Naruto games of the past.

However those aspects weren't enough to truly make it an outstanding game and as such, failed to provide anything decent other than another reason to recycle.
