After careful revision of Naruto Ulitmate Ninja Heroes 2, I have decided to re-review this game
Graphics- 10/10
I dunno, but games with that clay-like 3D gimmic always get to me, so I have to give NUNH2 (The really long name) a 10 outta 10 here. The graphics in this game are top-notch and are perfect for the PSP screen. Truthfully, I wouldn't be saying this if I got this game for my PS2, 'cause it'd just look like crud on my old TV, but the PSP's vivid screen really adds to the game play. The characters are really schweet from the 2D field to the 3D field and all the special effects graphics make this game feel like those arcade 3D fighters everyone loves so much.
Sound- 7/10
Music and voice acting was pretty good in this game. The music didn't really add to the atmosphere but the voice acting was very nice (In my opinion, Naruto has one of the best dubs ever). The music didn't necessarily take away from the game...but it doesn't add much either. All-in-all it wasn't too shabby though.
Gameplay- 4/10
Alright, so after a couple of days with the game, I can't say that this game is majorly enjoyable. I mean, yes, it's fun if you have a couple o' friends who wanna gameshare and play out odd battles just for the lols, but in terms of single player game play, it isn't that great. The game may (or may not) remind you of those Mario Party games, with different events at each stage. However, NUNH2 has like 400 stages for the main storyline with the same events recycled over and over again. The fights in the game (which is what you're into) are...different. It is not neccessarily bad, and it'll keep you preoccupied for a while, but it sort of plays out like a free online computer game that you could get at something like Mofunzone, or something. The battles are pretty fast and is pretty interesting, since the controls are relatively easy and it just looks so darn kewl.
Overall, NUNH2 is an exciting game that should spread around the PSP community quickly. It is an interesting game and is one of those PSP games that you can just bring around with you and whip it out to play whenever you have to tag along with your parents to some dude's barbeque.
