Oh and as a add on to what i just said, Tenten isn't mentioned and Konan has a few lines in the game as well, forgot about that..

After playing all the way through this game, i've realized something... this game is really unfair to the female characters in it. Think about it.. Sakura is barely shown or mentioned, other then her one battle against Sasori, Hinata is never shown or mentioned, Ino is shown maybe once, Tsunade is shown what? Twice with no dialog, The only females that had much/any dialog at all in the story might have  been Temari,and Sakura for a few lines.. I think Kurenai had two lines at one point as well.. Even Naruto's mom is shown maybe twice, and mention only once, and neither Kakashi or Minato Namikaze mention Kakashi's third teammate Rin despite her showing up in the opening cut scene for Kakashi's story ....it's like the game made it a point to purposely ignore the female characters... and i got ask why? what reason did CyberConnect2 have?... i can't think of one.. and i gotta ask has anybody else noticed this in this game?

I  like this game, minus the sometimes extreme difficulty,  lack of a hub world, no boss battles and no side missions ... so i hope Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 is better and more like Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 was. Cant wait to see the boss battles come back, and the Fourth Ninja war that will be shown in it when it comes out , according to the Japanese website anyway,  in 2013

I prefer the story changes, the first game had boring minigames and "quests" between fights, the best part about ninja storm games is the fights and they just added quite boring aspects to connect the fights, this has none of those things therefore I found this game a heap more fun then the first 2, also it makes the story a bit more comprehensible which is a very very good thing

It is the longest game name I have ever heard

I beat this game in 3 days and I enjoyed playing it.

I haven't played this yet but I think they should have kept the QTEs and I really don't care about the open world. I think it would have been cool if they had it where you could run on walls like in UN3 and run around like in UN4 but if the fighting is good, I don't need the open world. Still they really should have kept the QTEs. They were my favorite part on UNS2!

i really hope the next game will cover the fourth ninja war with full detail and epicness!!

played 1 and 2 and this one the best one yet.Combat is more balanced and quicker and better. I didnt like playing online with the last one but this one plays better online mode. Beautiful game..this is!

@frazzz619 well i guess your right since my friends told me the new resident evil is broken lol and yea i guess i gotta research more to see what all reviewers say.

@spiderman52 no i think they are just BAD games...IGN has pretty much been giving the same low scores. There is no conspiracy. People always say 'oh but it's just one persons opinion' and such, but if you are clever you can recognize a sh*t game rather quickly. I don't play COD games yet i believe MW3 could have been a little bit less than a 9 since everyone says it is 'same again' but I also believe it deserves it's high score because the game is made WELL.

ok i agree about the story but for some reason franchises like resident evil, ninja giaden, etc. are getting bad scores. i mean naruto should get at least an 8 since the story is no longer free roam. i think its either games are becoming dull or reviewers are getting paid to trash those games. i mean cod is good but mw3 felt like the same thing just with new guns but somehow gets a 9 every year? or maybe i just got bored of first person shooters who knows.

Not sure when I'll be able to pick this up.

This review is greatly understandable since this game is super predictable.

This review was pretty forgiving, actually. Glad he noticed the piss-poor story mode tho.

@Darnasian There truly isn't much of a big point to it, which is why I was surprised anyone responded to it, though I can see how some may have misunderstood what I meant. It was a very general comment about how the news was slow since the headline wasn't big gaming news or some AAA title.

@Darnasian "your brain is moving slow" "Grow up and stop being a troll!" Yes, that sounds like a very well thought out argument. Back to my point, any non AAA title making headline news shows that the news is slow. Hence a bigger game would take priority and any time there isn't one in the headlines, then the news is slow.

I love what they did with the substitution jutsu. I think it'll make things more interesting at a competitive level. I still wish that they changed it to make it more like street fighter's parry system though. Assign the substituion to a different button than block so if you go for it, it's very risky.

Too bad everything here is recycled entirely from NUNS 1 and 2. Even the ougi didn't change in the slightest. I still think it's a great party game, but there isn't enough single player content here past unlocking all the characters. Story mode has been quickly slapped together, and completely lacks any epicness of the last two games.

stop complaining about the story mode...if u wanna know more about the story watch the anime simple as that lol

The game is a surprisingly huge improvement over 2, and there's tons of content and work put into the game which is a plus. The fighting still isn't revolutionary nor is it a Nurarihyon no Mago: Hyakki Ryouran Taisen, but still a solid anime game.

I think they should have kept the QTEs but this still looks good enough for about 45$.

Never said I'm "mature" just stated that your comment is pretty much trollish...and what's the problem if this is not an AAA title and makes the headlines? It happened before and even when the news headlines were full of AAA titles small titles made it through to the first page... What's so special now? And stop saying I "attacked" your opinion...it wasn't an "attack" as much as it was arguing about what you said... Since when did fighters need open worlds and tedious quests???

I think this game was good/lacking for a few different reasons, the number of playable characters is nice... but a majority of the characters are just the core kids from the leaf older and younger, it wouldve been nice to see some of the other lesser-known cast. How about the other 6 jinchuriki? Also, not to sound a little crude, but i wish they wouldve sent the storyline a little bit further in the anime then they did..

@sac22 I like the games (: the show and story are boring... but the fighting games are enjoyable.

@stupid stan_boyd hundreds of other games get credit for their cut scenes and character introduction and background at least briefly mentioned. you're an idiot...
