I am a naruto fan. So I had to pick this game up regardless of how little value per dollar it had. I played the life out of storm 2 and now have done the same with generation. I can honestly say I was disappointed by the lack of new content. Only a handful more stages, characters, and moves. And of the characters added only a few stand out.
But where generations excels is in online multiplayer. I can sit in front of the tv for hours playing ranked and unranked matches, testing my skills against others. Although my win/lose ratio is poor I still find it addicting and fun if stressful at time. It's not always balanced but CC2 is getting there.
Story is only really only interesting the first time through, and only because of the new anime footage at the beginning and end of each of the 8 or so character chapters. I haven't touched story mode since completion though.
All in all it's a solid game that naruto fans should have. I suggest waiting for price drop though...
