I think Eighting, the developer, would be willing to make a new game, but TOMY may no longer be willing to fund it. They probably haven't had huge budgets for past games, that's why there has never been huge improvements in new games. So, there should be a new game because the series still has a lot of potential, but maybe the series should have a new publisher, one that's willing to make significant improvements to make new games better.

I'd love to see a new one on the Wii U if only to see how far in the story they go. If not, maybe they can get a different anime license and use the gameplay from this. (One Piece? Soul Eater? Fullmetal Alchemist? Hell, DBZ?)

Yeah, I think the series is unfortunately dead... It's a shame too, I would love to play some more CoN, especially with how many (Unique) fighters that game can have now.
