Classic games and a visit to the '80s await some. Others will only want to rent this collection.

Pac-Man, Galaga, Pole Position, Dig Dug, and Galaxian are a few of the games that await you here. But unless you're an "80s child" you may not enjoy yourself.

The ports of all of these arcade classics appear very nicely, however some screens appear blurry, and many sounds are not quite right. For example, in Dig Dug, I noticed that the ground seemed to have a "ghost" effect, with a faint red colour even in the area you've dug into. Also strange, is the shooting sound in Galaxian, odten times it stops in the middle of the sound, or may not even sound at all. The same effect happens in one of the collection's primary games: Pac-Man. Otherwise, the graphics and sounds are pretty well done. A couple games even include the side panels that "book-ended" the screens in the original arcade consoles.

The gameplay is not confusing at all. Most of the time, you'll find yourself merley moving the control stick and pressing a single button. The simple controls are reminiscent of the game's controls and mirrors the simplicity of the games themselves.

In the end, those who played these in the arcades will feel like kids again, but those who have never stepped into an arcade may find themselves bored with this game and want to move on. Expect to find this in the bargain bins by now.
