Atlus to Have Less Ogre Than Expected

Ogre Battle 64 will ship in limited quantities.

According to sources, Atlus' highly anticipated strategy RPG Ogre Battle 64 will ship approximately 15-20 percent fewer copies than expected. This can be directly attributed to the manufacturer of the chip on which Ogre Battle's playability hinges. When contacted about this, Atlus declined to comment, but stated that the second shipment of games will not be available until roughly early to mid-December. So anyone who wishes to get ahold of a copy at the game's late September release had better reserve one or get in line. N64 fans who have been waiting for a good strategy game for their system should take heed, as the game looks especially crisp and possessed of high production values.

In other Atlus news, we've also learned that the company has snatched the rights to a Pokémon-styled game for the Game Boy Color. The game, titled Robo Pon, was developed by Hudson, which is known for titles such as Bomberman and Mario Party. According to our source, Robo Pon is already well into the localization process and could find its way to our fine shores as early as this October.

The game itself is fool's gold, only 88,000 english-version games exist, cartridges deprciate, and any chance of owning a box to a 64 game is 20% at best. Ive seen one new copy for 100 bucks and one other copy in a box. And that one's mine.
