Star Fox 64 Question

  • powered by GameFAQs

What is CUS and how do I use it?

I've seen that you can get higher scores using this, and I wondered if anyone could tell me how.

"CUS" stands for "Charged-Unlocked Shot", which means you charge a shot, and fire it before it locks on to a nearby enemy. Enemies destroyed with a CUS add a +1 bonus to your kill score.

CUS is difficult to perform quickly if you are playing on an N64 or Wii; demonstrations you see online are tool-assisted, which means they are playing on an N64 emulator, and have access to slow-downs and save states, options that the N64 and Wii don't usually have.
