How do I beat an enemy on my tail?

Theres an enemy on my tail, what should i do?

Pull back on your stick and press the left C button at the same time. You will perform a somersault and end up behind the enemy giving you a clear shot.

    DO A BARREL ROLL!

    then a loop and break. Shoot em up once they pass for good measures. If your in a open zone instead of a linnear one, wide sweeping turns are pretty usefull as well.
