"EA has went from worse to first!"

User Rating: 9 | MVP Baseball 2003 PS2
EA has done an amazing job on this game. They went from a bad Triple Play serious to one of if not THE greatest baseball game. Graphics - 9 The graphics are truly amazing! When I first played this game, the first thing that caught my eye was the graphics (well duh). Minor glitches is what takes it away from a 10. Some times, when you dive for a ball and it looks like you are going to miss, you end up catching it. Other than that, the graphics are perfect, almost like you are watching a real game. Also, I must say, the stadiums are unbelievably realistic. It is amazing how the graphics changed over the year! Not too long ago the be game was Pong and Pac Man lol. Game Play - 8 Game play is ALMOST perfect, just a few minor things I disliked. The pitch meter is a nice touch for more realism. If you want it thrown lightly, just tap the button, hold it for harder throws. They also have a players have their own individual stance which is nice. Once again, there is a a flaw, you can't dive you scale the fence on your own. You CPU automatically does it for you, but sometime it won't. You will learn to get used to that. Something I really liked is the Franchise, it makes it seem like you own a team. It is really interesting, you have to do a certain number of things throughout a 10 (Maybe 11, I forget) time span. Sound - 9 The sound is great, from the crack of the bat all the way to the chants in the crowd. Something I liked was the sound of the bat, it made a louder crack when you hit a home run and a small crack with a pop fly. The chants in the crowd are cool, the yell '' MVP'', ''Go *Insert Team*'', and stuff like that. The reason I took off one point again was because of the commentators, when you first play it is cool, but after a while it get annoying. The say the same things over and over again, and one of them keeps saying 'Big boy'' lol. Its probably because Duane Kiper and Mike Krukow don't announce the Yankees and they have different announcers and I got use to Jim Kaat and the Michael Kay. Replay Value - 10 This game is great, you will want to play it over and over again. When I first got it I played all night. It is not hard to control which makes it easier to play it. EA did a wonderful job on making MVP Baseball 2003. It is so addicting it is hard not to play over and over again nonstop! If you are a true fan of baseball, you would not stop either. My Recommendation: If you are a fan of baseball, you MUST buy this game. Do not rent it, that will be a waste of $5, pay full price and you will not be upset. Every other game falls short in my opinion. This is a must have, tell your friends and family, this game is the perfect game. No other game is overall better than MVP Baseball 2003.
