Best baseball game of '06.

User Rating: 8.8 | MVP 06 NCAA Baseball PS2
This is by far the best baseball sim on the market for 2006. in comparison to the other major competitiors, this is by far the most accuracte and less arcady baseball sim available. Unfortuneatly, it is NCAA baseball and kind of takes some of the excitement out of it because you can't play as your favorite team/players but besides that, this game excells.

Graphics: Solid graphics, not the best on the Playstation 2 but it's solid enough for a baseball sim. The fields are not very detailed but are not nearly as ugly as the ones in MLB 2K6.

Sound: The metal bats really sound great and really give you the feeling that this is a college game and a totally different experience. There is only one commentator in this game but he manages to make the game exciting and enjoyable during play and he really doesn't annoy you while you play.

Gameplay: The most realistic baseball sim on the market. Unlike MLB 2K6 there are realistic errors based on the fielders attributes and how hard the player chooses to throw the ball, the angle they are facing, momentum and whether they are moving away from the base also effect the accuracy and power of the throw. The hitting mechanics with trying to got with the ball and hit it to center field, left, or right field really give the player a good challenge at the plate but definitely not an insurmountable challenge at that. It doesn't make it so easy to hit and you really get the feeling that your pitcher has a chance on the mound and that every pitcher isn't just getting pounded no matter what his attributes are.

Value: There is a lot of value here with a deep dynasty mode as well as tons of teams from all different college leagues and conferences. There is online play too which also helps add to the replay value of this game.

Overall: the best baseball sim on the market for '06.
