- Jan 4, 2013 8:08 pm GMTSo, while I know the special edition flopped, how were the actual sales? Any hope for this one to make it over to this side?

NISA never releases the actual sale numbers so we will probably never know what they are. Given Mugen Souls Z isn't out ,and there is only a small amount of information about the game it's hard to really tell if anyone is going to localize it. - Jan 5, 2013 2:48 pm GMT

Well, does anyone know how well Hyperdimension Neptunia did? I don't know about sales wise, but the game itself was pretty...bleh. But it's sequel managed to get localized.
I'm just hoping Mugen Souls Z is as good as Neptunia mk2 was. - Jan 7, 2013 2:36 pm GMTBlAcK_CaT101 posted...

Hyperdimension Neptunia sold out it's entire first print. And second print. And third too.

If that sold that well then my hope for Mugen Souls sequel getting localized isn't very high. - Jan 8, 2013 8:15 am GMTBlAcK_CaT101 posted...

Seriously. The third print was actually just last month, and it sold out in two weeks.
Personally I actually enjoyed the first game more than the second., but both appear to have sold extremely well. The second game sold out it's first print, which was supposed to be a higher run than the first game had, and got a second print that I believe it is still working on. It also got a digital release though, which is kind of rare for NISA disc releases.
Mugen Souls has actually had the worst observable sales of any NISA game for a while. Granted, thanks to their online exclusive LEs and stock indicator, it is actually a little bit easier to judge sales since NISA doesn't like giving us the official numbers. However, out of four disc releases with LEs in the last year, it is the only one not to sell out before release; or even three months after release at that. HNV hasn't sold out yet either, but it still has two months until it is out and it's stock is already under 25%, compared to both Mugen Souls LEs sitting under 50%.
I posted something about six weeks back in this topic before it died, http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/646672-mugen-souls/64695722, second to last post. It has to do with localization of the sequel, and I'm curious to see what happens with that. As long as the sequel isn't censored, I hope NISA brings it as well, but I'm more curious whether or not they will risk it and what that means if they do.

If the game shows enough improvement over the first one, I can see them bringing it over. But if it still has all the problems, then I don't think they'd risk it. That's just my two cents, though. - Jan 9, 2013 10:43 am GMTThe more I see of this game the more I hope it gets localized. Thanks for the links.

Story
12 Realms
Long ago, the one supreme god created a universe made up of 12 worlds symbolizing 12 constellations. The supreme god had split its body into 12 gods, each one ruling each world.
The story begins with the main character from the previous title, Chou Chou, coming along to conquer these twelve realms as the first step in taking over the whole galaxy.
Simultaneously, a “certain someone” that was once going to destroy the 12 realms seems to have awoken from a long sleep.
The main character who is one of the supreme gods sets out to collect the power of the other supreme gods and seal away that “certain someone” once more. However, the first step of her departure leads to a sudden encounter with the strongest god, Chou Chou…

True, but that game wasn't butchered like Mugen Souls was.
