There are some features in the game that you shouldn't miss out on. Mounted combat is exciting and personally I love delivering couched lance damage. Some of the controls can be a little dodgy, and there's only a few moves you can make with your sword. Next is quests, they are quite boring, underpaying and not really worth bothering with. Joining a faction is your own choice, however when you start getting high renown, chances are a king will ask you to join his faction. Bad thing is you cannot be your own king, however there is a great modding community and some mods do let you become king and have options like recruit vassals and change kingdom colours etc. So now I have started talking about mods, its time to give a little more detail. In my opinion, mods is what makes this game great. There are so many more options, both major and minor. Major changes are stuff like an entirely new map, armour, kingdom leader options, missions even, just stuff that brings some needed variety to the game.
