so it took me a long time to even try this one out. And even once i had i was really not into it for the first several days of game time.

The graphics arent really all that impressive, and as a fps or 3rd person perspective i didnt anticipate the combat being all that deep either.

Well the graphics even on a super machine are never going to be that hardcore, because there so much code just to keep the game going on behind the scenes that your machine wouldnt be able to handle it almost no matter what.

The combat starts relatively simple, but as you increase the difficulty theres things that im learning still and ive got about 500 hours into the game. Thats right i said FIVE HUNDRED HOURS.

About 300-350 of those hours has most likely been invested into a mod for this game, which is once again where this game outshines simply everything else ive ever seen in my 25 years of heavy and hardcore gaming.

Personally the one that i like is call 1257 AD, and is basically a fully functioning medieval Europe that is truly impressive in its size and scope, but there are several that i have tried out that are worth hundreds of hours on their own.

Im normally THE hater on games these days, and even on stuff i like i tend to put them down far quicker these days then i ever did in the past (or rip on them for technical problems), but this game is a keeper. Just give it a chance, and it will come back to surprise you again and again in awesome ways.

I predict im going to be playing this one far into the future.

EDIT: oh and i forgot, multiplayer is entertaining for a couple of weeks, but overall is only a limited part of the game, and really not much to speak of.
