Shallow features, great combat.

User Rating: 6.5 | Mount & Blade: Warband PC
So let's start by saying I've spent countless of hours in the previous game and during the past 2 weeks or so I've spent 47 hours in Warband.

First off the combat is great it's a bit improved but overall still great, you direct the movement of your swing and thrusts by mouse gestures and the same for blocking.
I don't know how I should describe it in detail but it's like the only game dealing with large scale battles that has such a deep combat system.
With that being said the multiplayer is great fun.
You choose your faction and class, get kills, earn gold, upgrade your equipment alá counter strike and so on.

But then we jump into the single player campaign.
Now I know this was shallow as f**k in mount and blade but to think that they didn't add anything worth mentioning in warbands is just a joke.

Once you have a powerful character and get bored of all the fighting it's basically over everything you do seems so retardedly pointless that you'll almost start crying over how good this could've been.
The new courtship feature is a joke, it's pointless, it adds nothing.
Owning your own kingdom is not worth it, everyone will declare war on you for seemingly no reason what so ever.
You will spend the rest of the time endlessly defending your castle.
The AI are a bunch of blithering idiots so adding lords to your kingdom won't do much good either.

Trying to rebel is the same c**p but with a diffrent just as pointless purpose.

The quests are still useless and boring and only means to improve your reputation with lords and fiefs.

But the game is still worth picking for the combat, everything else? Shallow s**t.
