The developer, Star Vault, is serious when developing this game and don't compromise at all with the goal set for this MMO. They want to create a realism, depth and lots of skills in combat in this fantasy game.

They choose to go for only FPV which in it self is a brave decision regarding all other MMO's have 3p-view. But their goal is to create immersion and also prevent people from being able to see whats behind them self because some features wouldn't work otherwise, like pick pocket. Ingame it is easy to get paranoid when you run around constantly checking whats behind you. When you first ride a horse is a nice experience that add so much immersion to the game due to the FPV. You really feel you are the adventurer when you play.

In MO you can pick up a weapon and start using it and skill up that way. Then there are books to improve your skills even more and let you learn different crafting.

MO is also full loot. So basically when you fight in PvP you don't just want to win for the sake of it, but if you loose you will loose everything. So that is also another thing that adds to the excitement and you fights for your life.

There are hitboxes in MO and you hit where you aim. Each swing consume some stamina. A well build weapon spend less stamina to use. In MO you just don't spam attack as in other MMO's you often keep an eye on the stamina bar also. Every strike is important. You just don't smash the keys. Imo this is the most realistic and fun melee ever done in a MMO. Archery and mounted combat is also really fun and involve lots of RL skill. Especially mounted archery.

The crafting system is great. It's really dynamic. You choose a handle and material for the handle and then type of blade or other top part and then material for that. Each choice change the characteristics for the weapon. Similar idea when creating armor. So the crafting is more advance and dynamic than any other MMO.

Taming is interesting where you can tame most of the animals. You can tame horses and sell those to other players.

MO is not only PvP but also PvE even thou not all mobs are in yet. But they add rapidly more mobs now for every large patch. The last weeks many more mobs have been added, but they still need to add some more. The AI is more advance than in other MMO's even thou there are some bugs in it in some cases. There are many animals and mobs to kill even thou some parts of the world could need some more. But that will be added soon most likely.

The nights are dark and you have to use torches. The dungeons are pitch black and also there you need to use torches. In the last big patch they added a really large complex dungeon with lots of mobs in. It's not recommended to go there alone. There are no instances in MO.

Due to MO don't have any minimap and maps it's easy to get lost. So paying attention while running around in the world is important.

This is a game I have been waited for, for many years. his is the first time for many years I have had this fun since the glory days of Everquest. MO is not about quests where the quests decide where you should go, but you deside your own destination and your curiosity lead you.

During peek time it can be pretty insane with all people logged in at the towns. Often it's difficult to reach the bank (storage) because of the crowd. You MO use collision code.

I really recommend all people that miss those old school games that not everything was about quests. But I also recommend it to those that are tiered of all WoW copies and want to try something completely different, where death really hurts and it really feels like you fight for your life. I have great fun today and it have a huge potential when more feats and content are in. But expect some bug, but those will be fixed soon.

I give it a 9 and when most of the bugs are fixed and more content are in I give it a 10.
