Brings you back to simpler times. But does that always work?
Gameplay: So the game is play exactly the same as the old MK games on the SNES or the arcades (particualry cause its the same engine)... which doesn´t work very well on this type of genre particualry because you have to hit the character to the right side of the screen and then when multipile or a single opponent appears you get halted (kind of like when you push the brakes really fast while your car is moving at 20 mph... or something). So once you get to face an opponent the screen sort of frezzes on the back ground you encounter the opponent and you can´t move any further and you get into an MK2 fight against 1 or 2 opponents. But it suck when sometimes you the game gets stuck and even when you have no more oppponents to fight you get stuck running left to right until you restart the game or the game realizes the mistake or a miracle happens. This gameplay and engine isn´t the best implement on an adventure and let alone on a beat´em up genre.
Graphics: suprisingly you get nice detailed backgrounds, special effects and (thank Brahma) they didn´t go cheap and gave the characters great detail.
Sound: The sound is alright and although not suprising but it will fit well on the game stage, mission and fighting period.
So the gameplay is probably the only part of the game that sucks.... the rest is alright and actually the plot behind the game isn´t that bad and wideness the mitos of the MK story. So this game (even for MK fans) is a definite rent it instead of buying or if you´re an MK fan rent it first before you dive in to this not so enjoyable game to play.
