i loved the konquest mode
besides the arcade mode there is a puzzlegame and a chess game. they don't realy add anything. there also is a konqest mode where the player controls a guy named Shujinko in the mortal kombat universe. you have to play this mode to unlock new characters such as Raiden and Liu Kang. at fist i thought the whole thing was programmed on a friday afternoon. it looks like 1992 graphics.but after a short while you get used to these graphics and you find yourself wandering through the different realms of mortal kombat. in those realms you encounter all kinds of fighters from previous mortal kombats and you can just walk over and talk to them. it was so cool, i loved it. sometimes you can fight them, other times they ask you to help them find something or someone.
last, but not least it's worth noting that the gamecube version has Shao Kahn and Goro in it. It doesn't support online play, but that's not a bad thing because i don't think anyone is playing this game online anymore.
