The konquest mode was not what I was expecting.. I hated shaolin monks.. and here they come back in Armageddon.. I even think the konquest mode in deception was better. You had a free world to explore (6 of them in fact) but in Armageddon you just follow a path and thats pretty much it. There are no side quests or anything. The arcade fighting system is broken.. the combos have been taken away, only 3-4 button combination max.. the air battle is a stupid idea... it kinda works in multiplayer but against CPU in arcade mode it is impossible to execute. I see they've done it with the latest MK but I hope it works (I have not tried it yet). The fatalities have also been taken away. The only positive thing I can say about Armageddon is the number of characters, but even that took it's toll. The characters do not have bios and proper endings. The story is told via konquest mode rather well but still, many characters are left out completely and take no part in the plot. In my mind since MK4, Deception was best, then DA and then this... Shaolin monks was s*** and I have not yet tried MK vs DC or MK 2011. Looking forward to.
