Is this really the END?
They sucked up all their memory with a mini-game and had to cut out a fighting-style for each kharacter. They've made a Kreate-A-Fighter mode but had a disappointing amount of kontent added to it to make room for those excellent graphics in Konquest mode, and they took out the puzzle kombat and chess kombat in favor of a cute but very boring little kart racer thing. What good, there's no shortage of arenas to choose from, and some of the old 2D ones are returning in 3D like the Soul Chamber[MK3 evilface with green energy in its mouth in the background], and the Bell tower from MKII , I only just noticed those where bells in that stages background. Now to finish him..WHA all 60 chars are here but fatalities are absent? this IS mortal kombat right?... oh, not enough memory? Konquest mode in the way AGAIN! Dammit BOON if you wanted a konquest game, make it seperate, theres NOT ENOUGH ROOM for all this Other Krap! Yes, Im still happy I have it, its still worth having for any DIEHARD lin kuei,black dragon,red dragon,shaolin monk,tekunin,Tarkata, Shokan, or whatever you'll consider yourself
You can actually play AS Onaga,Goro,Kintaro,Motaro[2-legged for some reason] and eventually the new Blaze[who is more or less a fiery rip off of killer instinct's glacius, just as he was a rip-off of cinder back in his first apperance if any one remembers that piece of SNES history]
Bottomline ::
It could have definitly been better, but it could have definitly been worse. What's here is Still awesome Albeit a bit clunky oldskool now.a.days as we get used to soul caliber and DOA styles. The air kombat is a cool return to mk3 but not a redeemer for all that's missing, If you remember the days of UMK3 and want to experience IT in 3D then this is still awesome, just not the best note to END on.
