The end is near. Armaggeddon is the best 3-D MK game to date. But it's not without its flaws.

This is probably some of Midways best and worst work of Mortal Kombat. They've really took there time to add so much to this game, but at the same time they've tooken away just as much. The fighting mechanics are alot better than Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance and Mortal Kombat Deception. Though still needs more improvement, it's manageble. Kreate a Fighter, I gotta say I'm really diggin it. Thank God they have set limits on this feature that keep people from creating Shujinko fighters all over the place. Alot of things to use to create some interesting looking characters. On top of that, you can even name your fighting style, name your weapon, and give your character a bio. So Kreate a Fighter gets a big plus from me. Konquest is a lot more fun and interesting this time around. You play as Taven who's destiny is to achieve god hood. But he also goes through a series of events which lead to armageddon. The gameplay is similar to that of MK:Shoalin Monks. So there wont be any boring gameplay like the one in Deception. Every character from all the fighting games are here. It's nice to finally play as Rain, Kintaro, Chameleon, and Sektor again. All characters have two fighting styles. There martial art and there weapon. To me this is better, cause before I would only stick to one stance, and mainly use the others for the convenience of dialing a combo. The levels new and old makes the fighting in this game better than ever. Shao Kahns arena makes a beautiful return, along with the subway, and the bell tower. Death traps and obstacles are still intact. Motor Kombat is a fun little Mario Kart like racing game. It's a decent game, though not as good as MK chess. But it's mainly for the sake of comic relief.

Kreate a Fatality is not a dissapointment. In fact I find it kinda fun to do. However, it is dissapointing to realize that none of the characters have there own set fatalities. It would have been a lot better had Midway would have made both possible to coexist in the same game. The delivery of the endings without the pictures are dissapointing as well. Instead the narrator will tell their ending as usual, but you just watch the character prance on top of the pyramid. Ultimate MK3 is a decent port of the arcade classic and plays pretty well. That's only important if you got the premium edition though. All in all, if they keep improving on fight mechanics, KAF, KAK, and bring back they character based fatalities, then next gen MK will be a great fighter.
