    Wow, can't believe its been that long since I last logged in. Anywho, saying MK2 buried SF2 is basically twisting the image. When MK2 came out SF2 was on it's fourth iteration of the series and had pretty much ran it's course. Of course more people are going to line up for a true sequel instead of version 2.x. It works both ways though. I would never say SF3 spanked MK3 simply because it came 2 years later, the same amount of time that had past between SF2's original game and MK2's release. I can only speculate at what would have happened had the third sequel of both series hit at the same time.

    Im an idiot and a virgin you say. Well, your a real mature human being aren't you. I bet your just as smart as a whistle too...And according to you Mortal Kombat would have never been created if not for street fighter? You can tell the future too? LOL...Im not offended by your ignorance. I am amused though. what are you, 10 years old? Well this is for certain. Your an brainless blithering dolt. Here is an idea. Try to know what your talking about before spouting off those fat studdering lips of yours. Mortal Kombat was the FIRST game of its kind to offer such blood and gore and FINISHING moves in a fighting game. Does the original street fighter 2 for NES have finishing moves or combos? NO! But along comes MK with both and now the current SF has them. Mortal Kombat was an inspiration to ALL fighting games that came after it. It is in a class of its own. I hear on Ebay they are auctioning off brains. You should jump on that before it's too late, and post another boneheaded comment.

    Last time I checked, planet Earth. The same Earth that is infested with PC game piracy. So I have to ask what world do you live in? Its FREE to steal a PC game. It costs money to steal a console game. Not only that, to copy console games you need a mod chip. Console firmware is updating all the time to combat people copying games. So copying a game without a mod chip may work for a short while, but once you get the screen that says YOU MUST update to access xbox live or PSN, then your copied games are rubbish and wont work anymore. Its not hard to understand those simple concepts I just pointed out....whats your beef? And most console games are NOT released on PC. The majority of PC games that make it from console to PC are Microsoft approved. If you notice, Xbox 360 games are almost all the time released on the PC unless its a game Microsoft doesnt want on the PC. Name me ONE game that is on the PS3 and PC and not on the 360. Or the Wii and the PC. You cant. Because none exist. There used to be games (mid 90's too early 2K) that were PC only single player, but no more. That erra is gone forever. And oh by the way, PC sales have been declining for years. Google if you don't believe me. The console ousted the arcades in the early 90's and now they are doing the same to the PC. Like I said, PC gaming is moving faster and faster toward MMORPG games. Don't need to be a rocket scientist to see that.

    @texasjgc What world do you live in? Most games that are released for a console ARE also released on the PC. At least the good ones.

    Anyways, I think the whole piracy discussion is redundant these days with how easily accessible it is to make your console of choice piracy-enabled. There's plenty of console pirating as well, people who don't think that are blinded in some way or another. It might take you a tiny extra step to just look up online where your closest little sweatshop can implement a chip, but it's not hard for most people to find some way to do it if they want to be scumbag pirates, just like on the PC platform.

    The music and movie industry are also in it for the money - and I can honestly say I have never pirated either - but how many of the self-righteous console gamers that point at piracy as a reason for games not to be released on the PC platform can say they never downloaded a album or movie of the net (when we're talking about multi-platform here, since although I think it's annoying, I can understand exclusives staying on one platform). Some people are hypocrites plain simple.

    There's plenty of legit PC gamers who will gladly support the developers by investing their money into their games. I know I will (as long as they release it through Steam, since that's the only way I buy my games these days :-)).

    Texasjgc, you're an idiot and a virgin. Street Fighter is what made fighting games the way they are today and if it wasn't for the SF4 formula, this game wouldn't of even been created. Thank you Capcom for shedding light into these western developers.

    @NeilVaage

    Its pretty easy to understand why most console games are not on the PC. PC games are SUPER EASY to steal over the internet. You dont need a brain to steal PC games, thus the company that made it for the PC does it for nothing cause 90% of people that know how to steal PC games NEVER pay money for them. Its a shame but thieves are the downfall of PC games. If you notice, MMORPG are the "PC's" game.....not single player. You cant steal a MMO.....unless you hack the servers in which case you will go to "pound me in the @ss" prison.....little humor there...anyway thats how (and why) it is. Companies make games to make money not have fools steal their product over the internet....

    @horizonwriter

    Well let's remember the 90's shall we? MK2, the arcades were packed with people (forming lines) that wanted to play Mortal Kombat 2, while some little kid was begging his mommy to let him play the SF arcade that was EMPTY. The arcade was called TILT, btw....They are no longer in business though.....need I say more?

    @texasjgc At what point has MK ever buried SF or vice versa? They're very different fighting games that have never really interfered with each other's audience. I play and enjoy both series. Just depends on my mood.

    @texasjgc,

    PC gamers like myself can't forget about SF unless Ed Boon and his crew changes their minds and ports it to the PC as well. Such a shame that they are excluding us - I got really hyped on this game until I saw it was consoles only (Note: I'm not saying consoles are crap, I'm stating I play on the PC and ain't going to buy a game for (and) a console just to play it).

    @ tommystockley,

    Yea, people will forget all about street fighter when this comes out! Anyway we all know Shang Tsung would turn Ryu into his medievil puppy dog b@tch. 1 year from now, "Street fighter? what's that?" after this comes out. Mortal Kombat is the KING of fighting games. Period.

    @ 2:15,

    He said tag team. Man I hope you can get 2 on 2 tag team battles! Or 2 on 2 battles where there are 4 on the field at once battling it out! This is definitely a preorder! I remember waiting in lines when MK2 came out in the arcades, people would form up in a line and ready their tokens! WOOHOO!!!

    well there u go, Boon lied again.

    not only did he say after Deception that Armageddon was gonna end this current series and have then start fresh with no returning characters and a brand new story and universe, but NOW Armegeddon caused some sort of time travel? r u kidding me

    Boon lies to much im starting to hate him and questioning the state of the MK franchise even more
