There is not much to say here, this game is just great. This is everything that I wished Marvel vs Capcom 3 was and more. Mortal Kombat delivers on all levels. The menu screen is epic and never gets old, for those who don't know it is Scorpion socking sub zero in the face! The roster is great with all of the fan favorites in there plus additional dlc. The graphics are excellent, everything is detailed and movement is crisp. Game play is balanced. New players will have a hard time against veterans, but anyone can sit down and have a good time win or lose. Fatalities are awesome as always. Arcade tower is the same as all the other Mortal Kombats, bringing back old levels as you battle your way to face shao khan. Arcade endings are a little bland but at least it is moving pictures with commentary instead of a picture with text. Story mode was great, you get to fight your way through the events of the first three mortal kombats in a " what if" scenario. The krypt is where fatalities and costumes are unlocked and the layout is disgustingly enjoyable. Besides those and concept art that's all there is in there, I think they should have added video unlocks but this doesn't hurt the game. My online experience was pretty good, out of the 200 plus games i played, about 10 of them were laggy messes. From my experiences with other games that is pretty damn good. The online mode also has a spectator mode so you can watch the players fight while you wait. The last thing is the challenge tower. It is a compilation of 300 challenges where you play as designated characters to complete them. They range from test your might, test your sight, test your luck, armless kombat, headless kombat, and many others. The tower givees a lot of people trouble so it is possible to skip some or even all of the challenges if you have the coins to do so. However it was fairly easy for me with only about 5 or so missions being extremely difficult, goro and shao khan army. Overall this is how all fighting games should be made. If every fighting game was made like this till the end of time it would be fine by me. This is the template to follow in future games, developers just need to build upon this. This game lives up to hype, it is nearly perfect in every way and has become my new favorite mortal Kombat game. Go out and buy it since it is only about $15, you will get way more then your moneys worth. Sorry for the jumping review, it is a little all over the place haha.

this game is the best in series but not the best in fighting games

It may seem enticing at first, but there's still a dime a dozen with this title.
