I love fighting games, SSF4 is by far my favorite but I gave MK a chance because back in the day it was fun even with the horrible gameplay, but that was only because it was the best for its time period. On to the review.

Graphics: Smooth character models that are very detailed but at the same time they are possibly the ugliest characters I have ever seen in a game, excluding purposefully ugly characters like Barakka and Kabal. The women are disproportionate (not talkin about boobs) and look like transvestites. The guys are ugly as sin except for the ninjas because they don't have facial features, just masks. Reptile...I can't complain enough about how Reptile looks.

Gameplay: The combos are nifty and fatalities and special moves are all there, but seriously does ANYONE notice that when a person jump kicks, they should NOT hover mid air, kick then fall! What physics are the devs using? Zero gravity? When a jump kick connects, your character STOPS mid air with no follow through, like they are kicking a wall. The lag between button press and on screen action is noticeable. Air juggling is extremely cheap. Move inputs are easily forgettable and awkward, up up down up kick for a fatality but you cant be jumping? are you serious? one would think a move like sub zeros ice ball would be similar to a hadouken right? nah, they made it down+back+kick. what!?

Sound: screams, boring music, etc

All in all, unless you are a serious MK fan, don't bother. The fatalities and xray moves get boring after you see them a few times and the gameplay is as smooth as a porcupine.
