Mortal Kombat User Review
Mortal Kombat is all of that and a bag of chips. Bringing back classic elements with a modern day flair.

Back in the day Mortal Kombat rocked! It was great to mash these buttons into the controller and get a few punches in and watch your opponent's blood splash across the screen. After awhile, you realize button smashing can only go so far. You learn moves and combos and then you find a that reward at the end of the brutal two rounds. "Finish Him!" You quickly but precisely push a couple of directions and a button or two. The screen dims and something gruesome is displayed on your television. And your only reaction is feel a confidence inside you like no other. A perfectly executed Fatality move.
With the release of Mortal Kombat, that feeling returns. It's a collection of the classic characters you've come to expect. It's familiar stages and a feel of the classic controls. Mortal Kombat returns with a triumphant fan-fair!
The story mode adds appeal to the game. Giving you a pretty lengthy story with some fierce battles. You play with almost everyone against almost everyone. There is the ladder mode and a challenge mode. The challenges vary and you unlock more from the points you collect in story mode. Tag battle is loads of fun while the one on one keeps you coming back for more.
The ninth Mortal Kombat hit the hammer on the nail. I great game to play solo or with friends and never a dull moment.

This game is awesome with a few minor problems mostly revolving around CPU and difficulty.

There's a lot of meat in Mortal Kombat, in many senses. Too bad half of it looks and feels foul for my tastes.
