Finish him! this is an amazing nostalga filled alternate timeline remake of the first three Mortal Kombat games' going back to the basics of its roots with side scrolling stages but this time with 3D character models and 3D backgrounds. The multiplayer is the best in the series with x-ray moves and the return of over-the-top gory fatalities instead of the toned-down ones of MKvsDC and the Kreate-a-Fatality system of Armageddon. But as with most games there is a glaring flaw that the CPU is incredibly cheap, not to mention any names --cough-- Shao Kahn --cough-- forcing you to stoop to their level just to win a round. plus the clunky controls that sometimes misread your actions resulting in a missed oppurtunity for a fatality. On a lighter note the DLC is a nice touch with retro skins adding a feel of nostalga to the characters and additional characters including Rain, Kenshi and Freddy Krueger. This is an excellent game and a good way to reboot the series for a new generation of gamers.
