Its good to see the old MK at its full potential and back on to its original footsteps of gaming art.

Review Summary:

The Good:
*Excellent story progression for any fighting games, if your familiar with MK vs DC then you know what I am talking about. Other than that, the story it self is filled with surprises. The jumping from character to character allows players to go around the whole universe of Mortal Kombat which is really exciting.
*Several favorable characters returned in this MK game. Reptile, Ermac, Kung Lao, Smoke, Sektor, and many more.
*Combos are fun, easy and bloody. Unlike on the other 3D Mortal Kombat, in MK (2011) the fighting is on a tight paced, not too fast or too slow, its fluid fighting is enough for us to dish out combos and avoid attacks.
*The return of the brutal finishing moves and other stage fatalities.
*A great and hilarious way to return the babality for all characters.
*Challenge Tower provides tons of funny and memorable levels. In the challenge tower you'll ascend to 300 levels by beating enemies with several special conditions, its unlockable is also great and memorable, trust me ;)
*The return of the klassic 2D old school based kombat is perfect, as if it brings me back on the days I played my first Mortal Kombat.
*Rich tutorial tools to teach players to pull of combos, special attacks, and even fatalities.
*Tag team mode is very promising, making 4 player full house possible.
*Kombat Kodes allows us to play mortal kombat with a twist of everything. Including the headless kombat, its really funny really, you'll be won't be able to bang your heads to each other.
*Tons of solid unlockables which includes artworks, ladder story, costumes, characters, and music.
*Each character is distinct and individually designed to be unique in every way. Luckily, they didn't do any pallete swapping for Scorpion, Reptile, Sub Zero, and Ermac. But they did annouce that klassic costumes will be coming for them, that great to hear.
*Has a great entry point, welcoming newcomers to the old and ancient ways of Mortal Kombat.
*X-ray moves are brutal and unique as well as the implementation of the new special bar that allow you to perform X-ray, breaker and enhanced special attacks.
*No superheroes!

The Bad:
*Gamespot is right, Shao Khan is cheap. As if he always taunt on you and his overpowered patterned attacks get very predictable fast.
*Graphics could been better. Sure it did improved the graphics from MK vs DC but still its not that beautiful to be honest.
*Some combo opportunity may not string/chain. You'll be too excited to experimental combos however there are plenty of times that the your attacks won't clamp resulting an instant fall to the ground when striking your opponent with combo specials and normal jabbing attacks.
*Unlike on PS3 they actually included Kratos from God of War but for the 360, we won't be able to grasp any guest character, it feels very a missed and biased for NetherRealm Studios for not doing so.

The Final Verdict: For those who played MK long time ago, this is your chance to play your favorite old school Mortal Kombat and for those who haven't played the 2D MK this is your chance to see what you are missing a long time ago. Overall its good that we can see the old MK to its full potential.
