I think this was a great game that spawned one of the greatest fighting series of all time. It introduced some new concepts like the blood, the fatality, and the over the top characters like sub zero and scorpion that we know today. I really enjoyed playing this game at the arcades and performing finishing moves on people that I played against. The sounds were pretty good too, and two specials (three for rayden and soyna) for each character avoided alot of confusion of some of the other complicated arcade games and allowed just straight fighting action packed brawls. I liked this game alot, and I wish I had an aracde like version sitting in my room now.
