The whole series of monster hunter are brilliant. What could be better than fighting monsters with a variety of weapons?
The game is easy to understand. Make weapons some easy to master some not so, and fight a variety of monsters. There are many items and monster parts which you collect to make better armour and weapons. This game does require some skill to take down some monsters and requires you to think about what its going to do next. BATTLING
All monster are different and similar in many ways. Each have their own weakness of element and type of weapon and each has weak spots, where you hit the monster e.g. head, leg, wing. Most monsters are wyverns and can be scary when you first fight it. No battle will be exactly the same as the monster might act differently and requires you to react.
THE VILLAGE
The village is where you buy items to help in a quest, make/upgrade weapons and armour and talk to people who tell you useful info. The game makes you feel like you are the hunter in a world full of monsters.
ONLINE
The online feature is amazing too, you thought fighting a monster alone was fun... Now you can fight in teams of 4 against monsters which are stronger and more of a challange. What you do affects your teammates like hurting a monster before it hurts your teammate, also you can hit your teammate knocking them over, but it deals no damage, so be a team player.
Monster hunter is a great game, myself got all the weapon types making it more fun and varied. Also im importing monster hunter 2 as it is only japanese however monster hunter 3 is coming out and that is for the ps3, cant wait. All of the monster hunter series are brilliant and are a highly recommended.
