Monster Hunter could have been a lot better, but definately is a GREAT start in the right direction.

After playing Monster Hunter Freedom for the PSP this game felt like a dumbed down version of that title, ( strangely enough this title came out first!) MH is good at what it does, simulate hunter monsters. It touches upon some really unique ideas and gameplay, but seems as if it were rushed. If I would have played this game first, rather than the current PSP title; I may have given up all together. BUT, I know that the Monster Hunter series is headed in the right direction and I am excited to see what changes are made for NEXT-GEN consoles.
