This is a long term game. the reason it got bad ratings is because you have to play it for an extended pieriod of time before it becomes an amazing game. currently i am starting my third character and have been playing for 4 years so if your new to the game let me give you some quick tips. respect doesn't come from your hunter rank it comes buy you wear and wield but none of that matters if you die constantly. to earn respect you must give respect don't just demand that everyone dose your quest let them post now and then. and finally dont create a character and immediately go on-line, its a good idea to set goals for yourself. last character i made my offline goal was to beat the los urgent and have a decent set of armor and good weapon. this character im setting the bar a little higher my plane is to kill the monobolos make the full set of his armor and make siegmund. doing things like this will help earn you respect and prepare you for the harder creatures that are on-line. in conclusion if i had to choose between all of my games i would definately choose monster hunter.
