Lol 400 hours thats like just getting into it. I do that much hours on my sub characters. Right now on my mane character that im transfering to mhfu im at over 1000 hours and my sub female character is over 400. I have played online on xlink kai with many others and say average 600 or more. The newbs who played offline then joined online are around 150 to 200 hours. At my current hours i say i have allmost 50 -60 % of the wpns and armor and my 6 page chest is just about fill. I played monster hunter from the begining and if i average my hours i say its has to be around 6=700 hours each series. Even mh2 dos i imported and played it in japanes and got allong fine with just from the knollege of the previous game. I hope monster hunter continues to grow and expand. Yes expand to the other consoles. I see that bringing in even more sales. I know a few people who want to play but lack the system its on. For me monster hunter has forever killed my love of other mmos since it rains as the pinicle of them all in my opinion.

now why the hell would you compare MH with pokemon? pokemon is juvenile... for me at least....

Oh yeah and one more thing. Keep posting comments and blogs and all that good stuff, about how this game needs to be on X360 or PS3 preferably PS3 because thats where it originated, and dont you forget it capcom :D

Monster hunter is bigger than pokemon in japan i read somewhere that it had sold over 11.1 million copies in its first week. Personaly i think this guy didnt explain or represent the game that well. There are thousands of sets of armor and wepaons for you to build and use. from the beginning you can customize you're character. There is so much to this game that you will never see in videos. buy the game get you're friends to by the game sit down and play your hearts out. And to inspire you more go and look at monster hunter freedom 2 videos on youtube. type in monster hunter freedom 2 armor sets. this game will make you drop any game you are currently playing and get this. trust me i've been playing Monster hunter since it came out in 2003 :D

@Jfisch93 I think he regrets saying that it's bigger than pokemon XD Pokemon Pearl and Diamond had sold 15 million copies as of March 2008, 5 million of which are Japanese sales. Whereas Monster Hunter Freedom Unite has sold 2 million copies in Japan. Obviously though, by no means is Monster Hunter a small franchise.. Perhaps it feels like more people play it, because more people play it in public?

Bigger than pokemon? How is that possible in Japan?

can you like actually connect with others online and see them in the game itself? but either way 400 hours on a hand held...christ....lol

Bakutakamine 5 pts

400 hours is a rough estimate of over 16.5 days of your life that's over two weeks, any game that can even pack in that much content is amazing by itself imagine if they added infrastructure how large that number would increase... most likely 200-300 hours, adding up to 600-700 hours, that's a month people, possibly they don't add infrastructure so they can make games to keep making money,

Bakutakamine 5 pts

This is the only game ever im not sad is popular.

Jaster_DCX 5 pts

Its a good game. I don't know why they are keeping it ad hoc.. it needs to be infrastructure. If they won't do that, i agree, bring it to xbox or ps3. Wii is just going to be a mess online, IF they decide to make it online.

lol. was it supposed to cut him off like that?

Interesting. Does anyone notice that the video quality on this particular video is REALLY good?

Capcom should of really focused on improvements to bring this series outside Japan. Europeans and Americans dont walk around with PSP in their pockets everywhere they go, and go to meeting places and play with strangers. Should have online gameplay, and bring it to a PS3/360. Or just keep it on PSP but have online gaming. Xlink ya ya. Also from what ive heard the US version even though over a year older has less stuff than the JP version. Nice Capcom
