No, it's not gonna be sold out anywhere. If it sells well I will be very surprised. But I'm def hoping it does.
@CKeenan07 supposedly Nintendo shipped a boatload of copies to avoid the fire emblem issue
Ive only just started MH on the PSP (IM currently doing the 2 star quests lol) and gotta admit its pretty damn addictive and would be fantastic multi player. Ive tried the demo on the Wii U and it looks damn good but im hoping the 2nd screen gets a few more uses besides the "gestures" and inventory. Does anyone know if it shows reciepes/combinations you have previously used as there are so many items it can become bloody confusing when you want to make something.
Graphics were pretty underwhelming in the demo, but then again it was an icy landscape, and they aren't very impressive normally - besides that, it's a port so what to expect. It will be my first Monster Hunter, and i'm looking forward to it! I loved the gameplay. I was really afraid that the combat would be too stiff, as i've heard, but it really is a matter of precise timing, and i'm intrigued by that! Got no pals who has bought the Wii U, no faith hehe, but luckily the Miiverse exists!
@DaneGamer Remember, this is a remake of a Wii game (of all things). The gameplay is AWESOME. You'll love it, but it's not all that...pretty. It's still fun as hell though.
@DaneGamer Well if your up for it i can help ya on day 1 of the WiiU release. Been a MH player since the beginning.

Grrrr..... I so want to play this but Im a noob at this game (this will be my first time playing) plus I dont have any friends to play this with :(
@firstclassgamer You can play this solo. It has tutorials that ease you into the game. By the time you tackle some of the larger monsters you'll be able to handle them.
It looks like an interesting game but it doesn't look like it's has progressed much over the years.
I still have Tri for Wii just lying over there... there in that case... maybe I should just take out the disc and put it in that white machine. I read Capcom is going to close the servers for the multiplayer. Damn. I just finished Xenoblade, so I can a new RPG adventure. The other game is The Last Story. Choices, choices, choices.
@smetloos Last Story is awesome! Also have you tried Pandora's Tower, both fantastic games, I'll be on xenoblades as soon as it arrives in the mail! XD
@Sozcumber I have finished The Last Story now and started with Pandora's Tower. Still, after my first impressions of Pandora's Tower, Xenoblade is one of the best games on Wii.
1 Like capcom said they will try their best to get it day 1 on eshop..but since this is their first eshop release they are not sure how the process will work... so lets hope if not it will be on that thursday they said. that is how i am downloading it too im not to fond about the boxart anyway in north america. plus this is a game that i will never trade in and can just turn on whenever i like n do a event or 2 then shut it n hop on miiverse! ahh the joy of being a nintendo owner!!
@PureFlare Your not the only one friend.And if this does not very well just like Tri, count on another MH famine. Capcom isn't shy about giving their fans the finger.

i gave it up, thinking it will never come out, and bought the japanese version for the 3DS a while ago, and a couple weeks later, i see this.

1 Like Game looks like a lot of fun, although I don't know if I'd be willing to spend $400+ to try it out. It looks like there's some potentially great games coming out for Wii U, but we will see if it becomes a console worth purchasing.
@Speranza318 you could always just get a 3DS and buy the game on that system. They said that they ported it to the Wii U and that it's basically the same copy. So no new graphics n stuff so that's why it doesnt look all hi-Def. But I see your point in buying a new system just to play a game but if you really like a series money doesnt matter :)
@chaosarmor @Speranza318 I played the demo for 3ds, it's not bad, but the camera control takes some getting used to
@chaosarmor @Speranza318 Although both games run the same content the GFX in each are different to an extent. The 3DS has lower poly count and lower res textures obviously. Why run HD textures on a display that cannot render them? But, alas you are a fanboy so we should have expected such ignorant comments. Monster Hunter on any console is fine with me.
1 Like Monster Hunter has never had local multiplayer, why are people expecting that this one will suddenly have developed it?
Luckily i have a 3DS myself, so any of my buddys will be able to borrow that for local play :D (and the online play is definitely gonna kick ass)
@Scribbinge Do you need two copies of the game? 3DS and WiiU for it to connect or is it dl play?
@Scribbinge They were expecting it because they were hoping capcom would listen to what the fans have been asking to be added for so many years.
But then again it's capcom i don't think anyone expected them to listen.
1 Like OH SO THAT IS WHY THERE IS NO OFF SCREEN PLAY! Capcom wants to charge you $40 and a 3DS for local multi player instead of having the 2nd player play on the Wii u tablet!

@Tripwolf I don't have a Wii-U so the 3DS version is fine by me, even if it lacks online.
@Ballock 'cos Capcom didn't think people would cart their Wii U round to their friends place for local co'op as most people have interner these days so didn't implement it in the Wii U version.
@Gazz64 Why would I cart my Wii U around? My friends could come to me...what you said is just...weird. Yeah most people have internet now a days, but co-op is best played with your buds in the same room IMO. And why would you need more than one Wii U? Just two controllers and one tv + splitscreen and/or controller view
