I would buy the console version if you were thinking of buying the new Monopoly "World" edition board game.
You get both the "Classic" and New "World" Edtions, and also get a "Richest" edition which is unique to the console version.
I could take it or leave it for the "Richest" version. The Richest version is the Quick Play version and you have 3 modes, developer (six rounds, no trading, 30min), Industrialist (nine rounds, 45min) and Tycoon(hour to play, community chest cards and trades). With this mode you play 'mini' games that have nothing to do with the original. Whoever gets first place in a game gets first choice on the computer rolled die, with random drops on the play board.
What I really liked is you get a unique passport in all versions which allows you to unlock kool new boards which completely changes the whole look in the game with new icons, cities etc, so you don't have to play just the "classic" or "world" boards.
I have not played online.
