Grows on you. Classic flare with the bonus of having a large variety of monopoly boards. It could have had more options.

Overall, this is a good Monopoly game. If you're a Monopoly fan, you won't be disappointed. This Monopoly game delivers the classic Monopoly flare just as you would expect. However it does not come without it's fair share of shortcomings.

I'll start off by pointing out the blaring need for a manual save button. Waiting for it to automatically save can be rather tedious and confusing. My girlfriend and I found ourselves thinking it finally saved, but returned to the game with nearly all our properties lost. So it would be safe to say, had they added a simple button, things would be much simpler.

OPTIONS

The game is seriously lacking in basic options - not for house rules (Those are very adequate) - but the basic systems options like sound and music.

Listening to Mr. Monopoly routinely tell you how to play a game all throughout the hours of you playing the game for the 100th time can be extremely irritating to say the least. I wish there was an option to turn him off. Additionally, the music should be able to be turned off as well - both are permanently on.

SPEED & SIMPLICITY

This Monopoly has a lot of nice flare to it, but like the sound and music - these options should be able to be turned off. At times they can make the game slower than you would really want it to be. For example if you have ever played Monopoly 2008 for the PC, you would have noted the very simplistic basic game-play that is speedy and to the point (click and it skips the motions). This option would have been useful in the game - watching your piece bounce through the stages can be slow.

PLAYING CARDS

It seems like when it came to the playing cards, they chose to become very lazy. They don't look like the cards you would see in the traditional game - it is just a white screen with writing. I suppose this is to the point, but with all the other flare, you would expect they would carry out the same execution with the entire game. Again, if you compare to Monopoly 2008, you will notice that their playing cards look exactly as they would in the actual board game. Minor let down.

PROPERTIES

At times the properties can be difficult to read which will require you to zoom, however without an HD 37'+ TV - even this would be difficult to see. (I've played this on 26', 37' and 50'). Unfortunately we need to take into consideration Wii only allows up to 480i.
