Lucas Art's adventure games are a solid reminder of times when games were made by players for players.
I admit, quality work may not be suitable for everyone. If you prefer in your face razzle and dazzle then this game might not be for you. Fans of the Monkey Island series are most likely old school gamers who already understand so they will not need a review to enjoy this classic reintroduced. Rest assured this is a 100% faithful recreation of the original but with updated vivid graphics, color, and sound. With a simple hotkey gamers can switch between the S.E mode and Classic mode to verity the details just like in Secret of Monkey Island S.E.
But if you are new to this series and CAN appreciate quality that requires a bit of thought but can really tickle your fun sensors then pick up Monkey Island 2 and its predecessor. Prepare to experience an adventure that will certainly put a smile on your face and make you laugh. Amazingly its suitable for kids too. If they GET the humor, they are probably old enough.
