Whilst the formula will age eventually, this is still an incredible DS game and a brilliant sequel in every aspect.

User Rating: 9 | Moero! Nekketsu Rhythm Damashii: Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2 DS
Sequel to the import classic "Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!", Ouendan 2 is much of the same, but with more songs, more features and even a new rival group to play as. The game also features a more edgier art-style and an increased difficulty curve. Like the original game, it will never be released outside of Japan, although the possibility of "Elite Beat Agents 2" is looking likely.

GAMEPLAY:
+ Fun, addictive and innovative touch screen gameplay.
+ Japanese menus are still rather easy to navigate.
- Difficulty curve could be too much for first-timers.
- Gameplay is still exactly the same, but is starting to age.

GRAPHICS:
+ Improved character models and animations.
+ Artwork is still sharp, colorful and a pleasure to look at.

SOUND:
+ Bigger list of songs.
+ Brilliant soundtrack that rivals the original game.
+ Improved audio quality.
- Some recycled sound effects, more voice acting would of been nice.

VALUE:
+ Four difficulty levels, each one featuring more songs and two teams.
+ Unlockable modes, characters, songs and replays add replay value.
+ Sense of humor is still there.
- No online functionality.

REVIEWER'S TILT:
It may be more of the same, but Ouendan 2 is still an amazing game with an equally amazing soundtrack. Sure, the gameplay could do with a new addition or two, but as it stands, it's still a highly addictive experience. With the addition of many modes that made their debut in Elite Beat Agents included in here, it makes the whole game that much better. If you loved the original Ouendan or Elite Beat Agents, you'll definitely love this too.
