How do you create a shortcut?

Is it even possible.

You can only make a shortcut with a Ramp and it will have to land back on the track because if u take your kart outside the the track over the fence line it will respawn somwere back on the track, Im allmost 100% sure thats the only way to make a shortcut. I hope this helps you.
