Red Faction takes over phones

THQ Wireless to develop mobile version of the third-person shooter franchise.

A mobile phone version of Red Faction is in development, THQ announced today. Based on the franchise made popular on PCs and home consoles, the title will be a top-down, third-person shooter that once again takes place in a mining colony on Mars. Players will assume the role of Red Faction Group founder Kava Xarel in their attempt to escape Mars and the tyranny of the Ultor Corporation. The game is targeted for a November release.
