One of the best Gundam games for the PS2

Although hard to get the hang of at first, Gundam: Encounters in Space has to be my favorite Gundam game for the PS2. The game play makes for a great space shooter, being able to approach targets from any angle, and the sheer amount of Mobile Suits is any Gundam fans dream. Ace Mode is a great way to learn about the pilots that played a big part in the war despite not being main characters. Story Mode is fun, but it gets annoying going from one area to the next as it puts you in a sort of hectic Star Fox 64 style movement to get to the next area.

The thing that probably attracted me to this game the most was the ability to create your own pilot. out of all the Gundam games out there only a handful allow you to make your own pilot. The best part is it's not just picking a face and name for your pilot either. you choose your pilots Name, Face, Voice, and Alliance, then do a series of missions to depict your characters skills and attributes. If you beat all missions with all S ranks your pilot can turn out to be better then even Amuro or Char.
