Will never make this mistake again

I have finally given up and crushed MLB The Show 20 into tiny pieces -- literally. I have been so frustrated with fielders who don't move for a second or so or who will not release the ball to throw but instead hold onto the ball and fall over. I'm tired of the constant camera changes and set pieces that I cannot get rid of because the lowest setting is "rarely," which apparently means "several times an inning" and they can't be skipped over. I am tired of the running interface. (Nothing new there, I guess, it's always been a problem.) Umpires could be adjusted in the past to avoid the horrendous calls that are now commonplace. There are format changes that appear to exist only for the sake of change that are worse (e.g., require more steps, are illogically arranged) than what they replaced. I do not know exactly where along the line all the changes occurred -- The Show 17 was what I had been playing. It had issues but it was fun. A game can be challenging -- that is part of its appeal -- but it needs to be enjoyable. And the problems that bug me cannot be fixed with practice -- there is nothing I can do about them. The Show 20 has been nothing more than an exercise in aggravation and frustration that has pretty well ruined the franchise for me. I tried to persevere because it had current players but I now have no desire to even go back to The Show 17. Had I not purchased The Show 20 I at least still would have had that. Instead I am done. I guess I will work on Rocket League...
