NO STRIDE ANYMORE PURE ANALOG

User Rating: 1 | MLB 15: The Show PS4

I have to say I am a die hard fan of this franchise and have to say that all the baseball games except this years version are my all time favourite baseball games. I love just playing a 162 game season! Nothing beats it! However, this year I was crying like a little kid when I put in MLB 15 and realized that they took out the best part of this game which was the pure analog hitting, in particular the stride feature. The stride feature if you all don't know was the mechanic that let you set up your swing by controlling your hitters front foot. You needed to time the pitchers release and then drop that front foot on the ground right before you would swing. It made the simulation so real that myself and my buddies were in awe with how amazing this feature was. However, we were all angry and living a nightmare when we played the game and noticed that the stride was taking out this year. I can't believe they would do that, and for that it makes the game terrible. It just doesn't play the same and doesn't feel like you are in the box hitting like last years version. I don't understand why the developers took it out? Maybe because people were complaining about lag online and the stride something to do with it? Who knows, or maybe newbies were complaining it was hard to hit but didn't realize that they need to put the time in to be good at it. The hardcore pure analog players are the ones that are going to be playing this game all year, not the casual fans that are going to play a couple games and then return the game in a couple months. So anyway, I am disappointed and hope they bring back the stride next year. My advice if you were a fan of the stride and pure analog hitting stay away from this game because it is a step down in control and simulation than last year. The developers should be fired on this one.
