This is a great baseball sim. i think it is better than mlb 2k7. and here's why. this game has had more time to be developed. it is executed better. is is pure baseball enjoyment. i have played about 10 games in rookie mode. this game is very hard! so if you don't know baseball don't even bother trying this! my team is the giants and as with all recent baseball sims, barry bonds is not in it. they have reggie stocker instead. so like i said, if you like baseball, this is the game for you. i recommend you try the guess the pitch mode. makes things alot easier. especially if you are playing against a sinker ball pitcher like brandon webb. i just played a game with barry zito as my pitcher against arizona and beat them 8-6 in a thrilling baseball game. pickoff moves are really easy. you can just select your pitch and select a base to throw to. the cpu likes to send the baserunners quite a bit so i recommend making many throws to the base. baserunning is difficult. it is hard to score from second on a base hit. sacrifice bunts are hard. they usually throw the guy out at second unless you have a speedy baserunner. pitching changes are in the game. you can put in a reliver very easily if your pitcher gets tired. overall and excellent baseball game. highly recommended.
